原Tia Ballard is an American voice actress affiliated with Funimation. Some of her notable roles are Kusano from Sekirei, Rin Ogata in Rideback, Mizore Shirayuki from Rosario + Vampire, and Happy from Fairy Tail. Ballard grew up in Paris, Texas. She was inspired to get into voice acting when she attended an anime convention, seeing the panel of voice actors, and learned that Funimation was only two hours from her hometown. In college, she was a participant in the Disney College Program, after which she changed her major to theatre. She completed an associate degree from Paris Junior College with an emphasis on Theatre and Art.

原My first name. Used to despise it because everyone defaulted towards telling me my name means "aunt" in Spanish. Like I don't know that living in texas. For some reason, this ruined it for me. Even when I fired back that it actually means "Godess", it constantly degraded my feelings towards my name. Now I go by my middle name, but family and really close friends still use Tia, rather than my much longer middle name. It's nice to compartmentalize my life like that in a way.
