It's lost all the old-fashionedness and fussiness, and feels like a beautiful name for our little girl. Hear a name out of context and it can have all sorts of connotations, but meet a person with that name and it suddenly feels quite different.Coincidentally, it turned out that some university friends of ours had also had a daughter that year named Thomasina. There are still only around 5 born per year in the UK, however.
