原Either spell the name correctly as Natalie or simply don't use it at all.The name is alright but the spelling of Natalee is incredibly bad and pathetic. No one in their right mind would use this name and change the spelling in any way.
原Putting an 'ee' in a name looses the name's maturity. Natalie becomes Natalee, Emily becomes Emilee, Hailey becomes Hailee, etc. So many parents these days want to use these creative spellings to give originality to their children, but do they realize that their kids will often have to correct others?
原I love my name. It gets a little annoying when someone misspells it, but I don't mind. It also gets annoying when there are two people in your class with the same name and the same last initial. Still, I would never change my name for the spelling or for any reason.
原I really, really dislike the trend of sticking -ee onto the end of names to make them seem "cuter" or "more modern." It just makes me want to emphasise that whiny EE sound, like "Nat-a-LEEEEEEEEE." This spelling really doesn't age well or look professional.
原So what if "Natalie" is popular? At least people know how to spell it; "Natalee" sounds sooooo infantile! For me, it's an insult to my grandmother and to anyone else who bears the name "Natalie".
