原My legal name is Amanda but I have been called Mandy my entire life. And some of the comments people have made regarding the name Mandy are just rude & stereotyping. I've encountered all types of Mandy's & Amanda's in my life and all have unique personalities and are different as each of us are. Very sad to place such a stereotype on a name.

I'm sure most Mandys aren't like that, but that is the impression I get from the name. However, I get a completely different impression from the name "Amanda," probably thanks to Amanda Bynes, but I haven't met a redeeming Mandy character (or person for that matter, I haven't met any Mandys).
