原My wife's name is Hollie, and one reason we knew we were right for each other is that I unknowingly spelled it right (instead of Holly) the first time. Unfortunately MANY of my friends continue to spell it Holly, despite the numerous cards and emails she has sent. Frustrating!I think it's a beautiful name. Has a nice ring to it, a holly bush is pretty, and the Christmas connection is nice - it's the happiest time of the year, after all. Her middle name is Robin, a winter bird in England I'm told, so her name is quite festive. And she very much fits it - She is my Hollie Robin. :)
原Hollie would be harder to grow up with, in my opinion. It looks less mature, to me, than Holly. Also, I think it looks a bit too much like the clothing store Hollister to me.
原My name is Hollie and I wouldn't change it even thought there are some better names to have. I prefer this to Holly because it is less common and doesn't remind you of the bush as much.
