原I think that this is a beatiful name, it sounds like it came from old fashioned times and isn't used often but it could work in today's society as well.
原I really like this name because it is unusual and sounds tranquil and beautiful. I Like the name Alana for a girl but feel it is more commonly used now, where as Alanis is unusual and feminine. I associate names with people and their personalities and Alanis Morisette is a beautiful, independent, feminine, talented and an individual. I think it would compliment any child, especially in teenage/young adult years.
原This is a hideous name, so I wouldn't recommend anyone to name their daughter this in honor of Alanis Morissette. Besides, she might very well not end up liking her music.
